When you combine Finnish expertise, passion and top athletes - it's only realistic to aim for a place in the Olympics!

We embarked on this journey out of a passion for sports and a desire to take Finnish expertise to the world. Our journey began in 2022 at the initiative of the Finnish Olympic Committee, when they decided to bring softball to Finland, and a group of top Finnish Baseball (pesäpallo) players took on this new challenge. In just a few years, our team has developed to the point where it can compete competitively at the international level.

The journey has required grit, courage, perseverance and a desire to learn new things – the same values that have always driven Finns forward. We wouldn’t be here without the support and guidance of the Finnish Olympic Committee and the Baseball Association.

The Lady Bears national team is a pioneering team consisting of top Finnish athletes and international talent.

Together with international coaching and exceptionally brilliant individuals, the Lady Bears have a real chance to qualify for the Summer Olympics as a team sport. This will be a historic achievement if realized!

Softball is a unique opportunity for female athletes.
Strong pesäpallo skills produce exceptionally good individuals who are at the top of the world.
As an Olympic sport, softball offers professional and academic opportunities around the world – opportunities that were previously unavailable to Finnish athletes.

The right time to invest in the success of Softball is now! The sport is growing rapidly globally, but Finnish expertise provides the ingredients for success and a leap to the level of the top countries that have played for a longer time.
The Lady Bears national team is already aiming for the top of Europe. When we get enough games and develop, we believe in the possibility of reaching the 2028 Olympics!
Competitions and training abroad, as well as learning from top coaches, have already grown players and are gathering an ever-growing group of goal-oriented players who want to take Finnish women's sports to a new level.

A Dream of Community

We are currently building a sustainable foundation for future generations and at the same time strengthening Finland's position in the international sports community.
Through a strong national team, we are also creating a Softball series in Finland, sustainably and long-term.
The sport brings recreational opportunities to every girl and woman - in a sport that is unique to them.
